The 2026 exhibit "Pace, Unity, and Flow" at The Gallery at Stimmel—featuring the work of Frank Campion and Melrose Tapscott Buchanan—brings harmony and joy to the soul.
“Pace, Unity, and Flow” was curated by Carrie Leigh Dickey, Owner and Visionary of Artfolios, with the work of Stimmel Associates in mind—they are a Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Land Planning firm.
In the words of famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted: “Landscape moves us in a manner more nearly analogous to the action of music than anything else…The enjoyment of scenery employs the mind without fatigue and yet exercises it, tranquilizes it and yet enlivens it. Thus, through the influence of the mind over body, [it] gives the effect of refreshing rest and reinvigoration of the whole system.”
Similarly, the artworks of Frank and Melrose move us as music does. Their artworks engage the mind. They take us on restful, textural journeys and yet visually stimulate us through powerful use of color—bringing both peace and energy. The effect of this exhibit is that of refreshment and reinvigoration.
“Pace, Unity, and Flow” is presented in collaboration with Stimmel Associates, PA. They have offices in Winston-Salem and Charlotte. The Gallery at Stimmel is located 601 N. Trade Street at their Headquarters in the heart of Winston-Salem’s Arts District. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
