Here are video recaps of the 2025 events held at The Gallery at Stimmel! For questions reach out to Carrie Leigh Dickey, Owner and Visionary, at carrie@artfolios.shop.

“One Night Studio Clean Out!” with artists Emily Clare and Virginia Shepley

Emily Clare’s imagination is sparked by natures beauty and mystique. For Emily, art began as a way to examine the natural world. It has evolved into a deeper exploration of the full range of experiences, emotions, and relationships in her life. Shop Emily's artworks available through Artfolios.

Drawing from the practice of psychic automatism, Virginia Shepley's abstract forms and representational motifs reconcile the dualities of life. Her work explores the connections and borderlines between physical reality and the invisible. Shop Virginia's artworks available through Artfolios.

“$125 Fits All” a one night show with artists Elliot Strunk and Pat Spainhour

Elliot Strunk has only recently begun his collage work in earnest. His art is made using found objects and ephemera: cardboard from a case of cat food; trash found in a parking lot; and preselected colors from completed paint-by-numbers kits. There is no master plan. Shop Elliot's artworks available through Artfolios.

Pat Spainhour is a contemporary artist and art educator. She developed an interest in encaustic painting—the use of hot wax, resin, and pigments—at Penland School of Crafts. Her work is a study of the nature, textures, and color relationships. Shop Pat's artworks available through Artfolios.

“Kindred Spirits” with artists Amy A. Bronson and Laurie Basham

Amy A. Bronson is a self-taught abstract artist. First, she builds numerous layers of texture and color upon the surface. Then, she reveals unique and unplanned surprises through deconstruction. Her art speaks to the idea that it is the human capacity to be uniquely creative. Shop Amy's artworks available through Artfolios.

Laurie Basham is an award-winning pastel artist. She loves spending time plein-air painting and working in her studio to capture a still life of freshly cut flowers. Her paintings showcase the beauty of color as it is transformed in light and shadow. Shop Laurie's artworks available through Artfolios.

Greg Waddell, former owner of Cycle Your City Bike Shop, earned a “Bachelor of Music with a focus on Jazz Composition” in 1992 from Berklee College of Music. Greg played throughout the night.
