About the Artwork: I love the abstract expressionism of Joan Mitchell. Light path began as a practice in abstraction for larger work to come, yet quickly (and happily) took on its own direction as a representation of autumn morning light in an orchard near my home. Staying committed to my original creative goals, this ‘orchard’ is set against bright pinks and oranges, which I match with light yellow-green and dark Prussian blue expressions of vibrant tree lines.
