About the Artwork: I love the effect of rich line work against bold color. By tracing individual colors and brushstrokes in dark lines, I hope to create a ‘stained glass’ effect that signifies a sacred status in Western society. Party Down! is a pure study in the continuities and contrasts of opaque color form (and a pure study in fun). Even without designated forms or figurations, the piece manages to convey both depth and dynamic movement. This piece says to me, “See the diversity of our world, and party down!”
