About the Artwork: My heart as painter began with late- and post-Impressionism. The symmetries of instinct, color, and brush strokes are packed with emotional resonance. Spring to Life offers me a space to explore this relationship by softening the painting’s gaze into almost atomized brushstrokes. The organic forms of the foreground dance in shifting colors before partially merging with the sky. The common language of short, directional brushstrokes invites the viewer to find connectivity among air, light, and mass in nature.
