About the Artwork: I am fascinated by birds! I love the way they look at you with their insightful eyes. I love how birds appear small and quiet—then suddenly without a moments notice they can fill the space with their song and/or wingspan. I love how you must admire your surroundings to see them. "Waterbird" was created by the addition of acrylic paint to canvas followed by the removal of the paint by use of a garden hose. The texture created by this process gives the feeling of splashing water.
