About the Artwork: In "Three on a Vine," I painted these tomatoes from life, and I couldn't help but notice how they seemed to huddle together in the bowl like three old friends sharing a secret. I wanted the deep reds to really sing against that turquoise, using bold strokes to capture their weight and the way they lean into one another, perfectly content in their little corner of the kitchen.
