Artists: Kimberly Varnadoe
About the Artwork: An aesthetic experience can be described as a situation where one loses awareness of the surrounding environment and becomes fully engaged in the symbolic world. Abstraction is a way to focus on the emotional experience rather than the descriptive characteristics of an image. We all must adjust during life and these adjustments are personal. The works in this exhibition were created during personal aesthetic experiences with thoughts, memories, grief, loss, and love with the intention to evoke aesthetic experiences for the viewer through their personal reflections. These works are a bit chaotic, created spontaneously as a meditation process.
