About the Artwork: I create vibrant textiles full of texture and color—made entirely from recycled materials like plastic shopping bags, wires, old clothing, and holiday decorations. Sustainability is at the core of my creative practice, allowing the transformation of trash to treasure into a unique weaving full of joy and hope. This weaving consists of 9 woven panels on a rigid heddle loom, which are sewn together to create a woven quilt. The warp is made from white, gray, and tan plastic shopping bags, bound together with a yellow, blue, and magenta warp.
