About the Artwork: Abstract landscapes are a favorite of mine to create. I rarely paint looking at a specific photo. This painting was created after visiting Grandfather Mountain for the third time over 30 years. I came back to the studio and painted how I felt about my visit. The swing bridge just appeared without much conscious effort. I found this interesting as I was unable to cross the bridge this last visit.
