About the Artwork: I am interested in how line work adds perspective and emphasis to traditional artistic forms. By tracing individual colors and brushstrokes in dark lines, I hope to create a ‘stained glass’ effect that signifies a sacred status in Western society. Stained Glass #2 reinvents everyday houseplants as sacred symbols of a cultivated life wherein the multicolored foreground celebrates human care and intentionality for human-environmental relationships.
